Day 30 - My Life the Last Month

Day 30- What have I been up to this past month...

Let's see where do I start?

Boy's finished their 4th and 1st grade school year over a week ago now. They both did great in school this past year.. I couldn't be more proud to be their mama.

My grandpa passed away in May.. That was a very hard week and not a day goes by that I don't think of him... but I do know he is in a better place and we are filled with memories and love to stay with us forever.

I started working for the family business. I am now the secartary , doing most of the paper work. I will do more as time goes on and I get the hang of it more. I get paid by getting us all insurance including dental. So far so good =)

Mariah had her 18mo check up (at 19 months) She now weighs 23lbs and is 32 inches tall. She only had one shot and actually seem to love the doctor we saw since her usual one was booked up for yet another month wait. I may actually start seeing this one since she seemed to really enjoy his presence and he was really good with her. 

Husband was in a car show and he won Best of Show of the whole show. That was pretty exciting for him and us.. We look forward to many more car shows to come with more winning and fun memories with his hobby.

I posted a giveaway this month on my blog (Go check it Out). It ends this Friday and so far it has a great amount of entries. I hope it helps the company out and gets her some business to her site.She really does do awesome work. I love my earrings and wear them a lot. I will be posting more giveaways so stay tuned!

Been having a lot of fun play dates at the water parks and pools here in town. Gotta keep these kiddos busy during their summer vacation.

Got to visit with my best friend last week (She lives in Arizona now). That was really nice to see and chat with her.

I joined my sons school PTA.. I actually am one of next years Vice Presidents of the PTA.. I am excited to be more involved in my children's school and be apart of the upcoming events my children enjoy every year.

What have I missed??? lately things have been crazy so blogging has been put on hold.. I really hope to get more on a schedule and make more time to blog about our fun little adventures..

What do I wish for the future...

 For my family to be healthy and live happy lives!

To watch my children grow old and watch them grow into their own families as happy as we are today. 

For us to own our own home.. one we can live in forever and pass down to our children.

To be debt free

To go back to college and finish with a BA (if not higher)

To continue to be the best wife and mommy I can be!

Day 27- Current Read

Day 27- Currently Reading

Besides books I read to my little princess, and books the boys sometimes like to read to me, I will say I am not much of a reader. I really don't seem to have time or patience to get into a good book. I have though in the past read some good books and wish I had more time to read. Maybe as the summer is here and may have more down time I can get into some good reads.

I do however have a review coming up on my blog for a book called "The Sun in my Eyes". Stay tuned for that as I am excited to get into reading it and sharing with you my review on it.

Oh I am reading a book I won in a giveaway too, now that I just remembered as I am reading it slowly LOL. Its "What to expect in the second year" That is a good read to learn about all the fun things to come with my baby girl.



Day 26 - Favorite Memory

Day 26- Favorite Memory

Now personally I don't think I can pin point just one memory as a favorite memory. I have had some pretty awesome memories in my lifetime.

The day I met my husband.. If it was not for this day we wouldn't be where we are today.

The day my 1st born was born.. Noah 10 years ago came into our life and filled it with so much happiness and love. I don't think I ever knew just how much my life was going to change, but for all the best.

The day we got married and made it official we were the Gray family!

The day our second son was born.. Isaiah 7 years ago.. He ended up coming a month early but it was the earliest best gift to ever get surprised with. 

The day our last born, our only little girl was born...Mariah a 1.5 year ago came into our lives and completed that last puzzle piece to our family to make us complete.

Becoming a wife and mother have been two of the BEST things to ever happen to me and my 'favorite" memories.

Day 25- 3 Good Things to Happen to Me

1. Celebrating 10 years married to my husband. Seriously to me that is a great accomplishment for us and any other couple to hit that milestone in a marriage. I feel truly blessed to have found such an amazing guy to spend the rest of my life with. Finding that special someone is such an awesome GOOD feeling!

2. Getting health insurance for my family. As most of you know how important health insurance is, you also know just how expensive it is as well if you can't get it from your employer. My father in law is going to be retiring soon so I am taking over as the book keeper/ secretary for the family business and will be receiving health care in return. Yes that is FULL health and dental insurance. This is definitely GOOD news!

3. As much as loosing our grandparents has hurt us, made us very sad.. I will say that there was good that came out of it as well. It brought our families together so see each other even if it was for only a couple days. Living in Vegas with family all over makes it hard to see some of our family members. As for my husbands side we had not seen them in 13 months so it was definitely nice to see all of them in Kansas. Seeing family is always a GOOD thing!

I know it did say something that I loves so I would say if I had to pick a certain object it would be my camera. I love taking photos and looking back at all the memories later!!

Well I will say that I think some actors are pretty cute especially while watching them in certain movies as their acting part. I can't say I have a "crush" on any one male actor at this moment but I do have a few guys that I think are some yummy eye candy =)

I won't lie, I love to watch a good show on TV and become addicted quick. I have lost a lot of great shows to them not coming back after seasons ended due to ratings.. But here are a few of my favorites that have made a come back now..

Well I have not been to many places super duper cool where many probably can say they never have been.. but I will go with a photo from a trip I took with my family at the age of 12...

Guanajuato, Mexico ..Best family trip with such awesome memories. I would love to go back some day and sight see but best to visit the many family members that live there and around that area!!

If you ask all my close friends and family they could probably tell you the answer to this question. I have been a huge fan since I got into music really in about junior high I would say. I at one point had every CD she had out (till my car got broken into & they stole my Cd's). I have been to two of her concerts one in 2000 and the other in 2004 (while pregnant with Isaiah). In mine and her younger days I even used to get that we looked a little alike (I think it was the curly hair)... She has such an amazing voice and is even better live on stage. Her music has motivated me, made me smile and even made special memories with me with certain events that have happened in my life thus far.

Make up, who has time to apply make up with 3 kids? Nah I usually am a pretty plain type of girl. I use to wear so much that once I became a mother I chilled out on the whole make up thing. I wear a bit more then a usual day when I go out but even then it is not much more.

I do however want to someday go to MAC or another make up store and get a nice make over and see how I like it. I really wouldn't mind changing things up some and adding to my bag or look.

Well yesterday was an icky day for me.. I woke up feeling like I had been run over by a car or even a train.. I had to go get my iphone fixed so what I wore yesterday was only for that time since the rest of the day was spent in some lounge clothes sleeping in my bed.

Took my kids to the boys school for a book fair going on this week. It was buy one get one free so we made out pretty good.. Most expensive one was 22 bucks alone... We got all 6 books for 32 dollars.. I am proud of my boys who love to read and buy books over toys. They picked the barbie book for sister.

Like I have said before, I LOVE music.. I listen to music everyday weather in my home or in my car. Back in the days I had a speaker box with an amp because I loved to listen to my music loud. I still love it loud but figured as a mommy it just wasn't something I should do anymore.. Well I would love to have my system again I will say, especially with my 3 kids that are just like their mama, big music fans.

I will start with a sad song.. Sad but actually makes me remember the memories with my grandma Juanita.. I miss her SO much..

Day 14: Favorite Vacation

Last summer when we went to Huntington Beach California.. We love the beach and that was our 1st trip to the beach as a family of 5. We spent 6 days/5 nights on the California coastline. It was Mariah's 1st trip to the beach at 6 months old. The boys LOVE the beach so they had such a blast. Only one awesome family vacation of many to come..

Day 13: Favorite Cake

Day 13: My favorite cake recipe

Well let me start off by saying I just love cake and would probably eat just about any kind, as long as I have 2 scoops of ice cream to go with it =)

                    Not really sure if this would be considered "cake" but I LOVE strawberry shortcake

Otherwise I just love good ol Betty Crocker brand cake mixes. Sure homemade cake is probably better but in my opinion I like the cake mixes in a box better.
