Wow it's been a good long while since I've blogged. So many things have changed since my last blog... Some sad & happy.
The kids are all doing great. Growing and growing way to fast though. Summer vacation is almost over & Noah will be going to junior high next year and Isaiah the 3rd grade. I am hoping to enroll Mariah in some little classes at the Rec center during the week when big brothers are back to school.. (she is going to miss having them home). Boys are signing up for soccer this fall season. My husband will be coaching both of their teams again, so that will make me the team mom :) hoping to find a dance class for Mariah to join as well since she is a bit to young for soccer still.
I've been good. Working a lot more now and getting ready to work with the school PTA again this upcoming year. Husband and I are good too.. Wish we could have a little mommy & daddy time but very grateful for the time we do get together and with our babies.
This April we lost a very important man in our lives. My husbands father passed away leaving us all heartbroken and sad. With time things seem to be getting better but we will always have a piece missing without him here. He is was such a special man, father, grandfather and father in law. We have been through the ups and downs lately but together with all the loving family time, memories and talks we always seem to come to have our years turn to happiness. He was a very happy person who always made you smile and laugh. He knew just the right thing to say or do to make your bad day turn around and make it better. We love and miss him so much. Rip papa Keith!
We moved again.. That's a long story but we are doing good. Back to the home we called home for almost 8 years if not longer. We could live anywhere and we would be happy though as long as we have each other.
Hope all my blogging buddies are doing well. I will try to post more often and hopefully get back into helping businesses by doing reviews for their companies.
Xoxo

Welcome Mr.& Mrs.Torres
YAY BIG congrats out to my cousin Victor in getting married this past weekend to his beautiful bride Marla.
I consider myself pretty close to my cousin Victor..I remember wishing he was a girl sometimes since we got along so well..but then again it might be the opposite sex as to why we get along so well.ha ha. Him and I have had some up and downs in our relationship as family...but the closeness and bond we have as a strong family has proven just how important family really is..
When I met Marla,I knew right away she was special to Victor. Through the years of relationships they can be tough and they definitely went through their fair share of ups and downs but the truth of the matter is their love for each other always brought them back to each other. Nothing or no one person was going to break the bond, the love they had for each other.
This past Friday, September 30th 2011.. my cousin married the love of his life.. the mother of his beautiful daughter Madison and awesome step mother now to his daughter Verina. Marla, welcome to our family.. You and I have a special bond as well..I am glad to have been there when times were good and got tough..I knew in my heart that the tough would get better because I knew my cousin would come to his senses and realize you were the one for him..
Thank you for letting me share your special day with you..I couldn't be more proud to stand up there as one of your bridesmaids.. It was a very beautiful ceremony and the reception was perfect...

Picture Update
Thought it would be fun to update with photos...
We moved and we have a community pool.. The kids and I will be spending a lot of time here I can tell..
Meet up with a new play group this past week.. Mariah needs more friends her age and she had a great time ( far right)
Drawing on paper must have been boring this day.. She was so quiet in the office and I go check and bam she had drawn all over herself and as you can see was very proud of herself.
My handsome Isaiah.. Our youngest son already 7 1/2 years old..
1st day of school this year.. 5th and 2nd grade and a proud little sister!!
Just a short update to say hello and wish everyone a happy weekend!!!

New House.. Little Sneak Peek
Here is our "New" Home Sweet Home
Stairs (before painted)
Isaiah's Room colors
Mariah's room is pretty much the only room unpacked.
Our Bedroom (Going to add a wood type border in middle of two colors)
Laundry Room (upstairs which I think is awesome because then the bedrooms are right there to put clean clothing away) were not connected in this photo
Living room area (where we will spend many family moments in) Husband even added surround sound around the room built in the walls. (Still unpacking & decorating)
Family room .. right now it is pretty much more of just another sitting/TV room plus Mariahs little area of play.
Mariah's new house in the back yard..
I still need to take more photos of the rest of the house.. Once we are unpacked and more settled I will take photos and post a little tour for you all. Still so many things we would like to do to the house
* Base Boards are a must
* New doors throughout the house
* More painting.. of door jams in the house to match new white doors to come ( some already painted)
* a couple new fans in the bedrooms and one in the family room
*new light fixture in dining area (which we are not sure yet what we want to do with this space, maybe office)
I am sure there is more we would like to do but of course we are not rushing to do it all right away.. we have plenty of time..

Happy Birthday Grandpa
Happy Birthday Grandpa in heaven...
I wish I could pick up the phone or take a visit to tell you Happy Birthday..
I am not exactly sure it has really sunk in for me that you passed away a little over two months ago already. I still feel that my next visit to California you will be there at the kitchen table watching TV with grandma. I know you won't be physically be there but I know you will be with us since I still believe you are with us everyday in our hearts and memories.
We love you so much and miss you dearly every day. So we shall enjoy this birthday wishing you are resting peacefully and thinking of all the beautiful memories we have of you.. Thank you for all those memories that I can share with my children of you.
We <3 you so much Grandpa T.

Summer Break To-Do
Only a little over a month till summer break is over for the boys. School starts the last week of August here in Nevada. Hard to believe this will be the last year in elementary school for my oldest Noah and my youngest son will be in 2nd grade already.
Before break is over we would like to get in as much fun as we can fit in.. Living in Vegas there isn't exactly the most fun filled family things to do but we make the best of it.
* We would like to take a trip to California. Visit family and of course hit up the California coastline to the Beach. Our favorite beach is Huntington Beach.
* Lake Mead boating trip, we would like to go at least once if not more. In laws have a boat so we really don't have any excuse to not go. It may be 100 degrees out and hotter but the lake is always your best bet.
* More pool and park play dates. We love our local splash pads and recreation center pool with fun water slides. Would also like to take the kids to the Shark tank pool at the Golden Nugget. Maybe rent a room for a night and enjoy a little stay cation fun.
* The boys really enjoy casino hopping. They love to go to MGM (to see the lions), M& M store, Bellagio (water show), Sam's Town (water/laser show) and maybe even Mirage (Secret Garden). One other fun place we would like to go since we have never taken the kids ever.. Circus Circus, Adventure Dome.
So I guess it is time to get the calendar out and plan some of these little adventures.

Family Loss
Loosing a family member is never easy.It doesn't matter if you were close with the person or a bit distant. On Saturday morning we got the phone call that my husband's grandmother had lost her battle with lung cancer. We knew it was going to happen since her health was getting worse and we were told she only had days, but that still did not make the news any easier.
Her love, my husbands grandfather passed away 14 months ago. That was very hard on my husband as he and his grandfather were so very close. A grandpa/grandson bond like no other. We will be making the trip to Kansas for services in which we will be going to his grandparents home, which will be very hard on everyone. All those wonderful memories with such a loving couple that loved their family so dearly.
I will be there for my husband as I always am.. extra love and support to all grieving..
Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers..
